Good Boring, Vietnam (2026)
Soon published in English and Vietnamese.
A disillusioned French writer and a young Vietnamese Hmong woman… Yes, it sounds like the oldest clichĂ©, but this story is not. Can you imagine a mixture of Indiana Jones, Michel Houellebecq, Soren Kierkegaard and all that in the lascivious scenes and overwhelming smells of Vietnam in the nose?

Klecalo Timotija Trumana (2024)
A lifestyle guru at the peak of fame—secular messiah to millions—forays into an illicit affair with a young woman who brings her book for signing.
Swept by passion, he surrenders to faith, trading self-help empires for the priest’s cloth. This bold novel maps the raw path to true belief—a terrain literature ignores, fixated on clerical downfall.
About me
My name is Vedran Kukavica, and you’ve just arrived at my little corner of the web.
I imagine these two facts are already clear—otherwise, you probably wouldn’t have found your way here in the first place.
As for me, it’s enough to say that I write novels, travel, dive, and scamper about in the hills. That’s also the story behind this photo: a dog striking a pose on a table outside a forest cabin.
Fortunately, he wandered by just in time, sparing you yet another glimpse of that same tired photo of me—the one that’s been showing up in search results for decades whenever you type my name.
I trust nobody has, in the meantime, devised some “canine GDPR” handing out draconian fines for unauthorized portraits of stray French bulldogs.
To keep it brief, this site exists to leave a small trace in the metaverse, as I do not participate in online social networks, public debates, or any of the other so-called “activism.”
And when it comes to my novels, I don’t campaign or promote them publicly. In my opinion, that is the reader’s privilege and responsibility. After all, in respectable restaurants, chefs don’t bother guests by strolling around, expecting a pat on the shoulder.
