Vedran Kukavica (Imotski, 1965) is a Croatian journalist and novelist, professor of philosophy and graduate in linguistics, and recipient of the University of Zagreb Rector’s Award for the best student paper in 1990.

During the Croatian Homeland War, he worked in wartime propaganda within the Directorate for Information and Psychological Operations (IPD) of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia.

He began his journalism career at Slobodna Dalmacija, later working for Nedjeljna Dalmacija, Obzor, Vjesnik and Globus, and publishing articles in numerous other Croatian newspapers and magazines.

He served as marketing manager at Privredna banka Zagreb, the Agrokor Group, and the Financial Agency, as well as spokesperson for the Croatian Privatisation Fund.

Since 2010, he has been editor‑in‑chief of Poslovne vijesti (Business News) — the only daily business television programme in Croatia — broadcast on Channel 4 of Croatian Radio‑Television (HRT).
